Only Skin

It's been too long since I've even updated this blog with anything of the sort! My "break" is finally over and the first 2 weeks of summer classes have already rolled along. I just finished building my computer and now get to work on video editing and animation at home :D 

There's nothing really to show as of yet, so I decided to post something from my sketchbook instead.

I guess it's creepy o___o

but not really. The idea came after I burnt a tiny bit of skin on my arm from baking cookies and after it started healing...and peeling...thought to myself how weird and cool it would be to be a snake and shed my old skin and start anew.

Sigh.

I can't work on that music video animation thing until I get back from "break." 

So far, I've just been reading. Getting ready to do some sketches tonight.

There will be sketches to share later this week :]

In the meantime, I finished the foam part of Cliff a while ago and never uploaded pictures. 

He looks creepy naked! Gotta skin the little fella!!!

Wow! It's been a while since I've posted something.

If you don't know what Cliff looks like, check out my earlier posts. He's the deer with dragonfly wings! The next step after rigging the armature is to build the body, which I'm doing with squishy foam...there's a more technical name for the material, but I don't remember it now.

I have Cliff's story constructed more. It's gonna be a long exciting summer project :D

Updated News: I'm starting a new blog on tumblr with a few friends! Although I have this blog, it will be nice to also have one on tumblr and connect with more people. I will still update this blog with personal projects of my own. The tumblr blog will mostly be sketches and such while this one will be more personalized....

Here is something from my sketchbook. It's my portion of the header for the future tumblr blog. I'm starting to do more Asian influenced art styles. For some reason, there was a time in my life where I was trying to avoid Asian art o____o - but now I'm excited to do some and I really enjoy it!

That Brain of Yours Is Okay

Forgot to post this a while back, but here's the puppet guy I finished sewing. His name is Captain Chaps. HAHAHA....stripper name? NO. My friend Shane rigged him so he moves, and he also had the chance to animate him for our little group video assignment. It's cute! I will post it...later. 


And I want to make this little dude a horsey thingy animal. And then it's gonna be my chance to animate him next, how fun! ^____^

Winter mountains are beautiful. I don't know what else to say!

After putting in those 3 drawing layers, I colored the image in Photoslop and drew in more lines and patterns wherever necessary. Then, I gave it to Andrew and Billy :D

Wittle Fella

This is the design for a character I'm making into with felt and yarn and whatever other fabric I has lying around. He has no name yet. Can't wait to bring this guy to life and share him with you!!!

On a side note: intense filming THIS weekend! Will keep ya updated. Sweet dreams for now!

Days Are Quickly Marking Themselves Off The Calender

errr...you can tell when I got lazy. 

There's a lot I want to update about, but some things will have to wait. I'm excited about a music video I'm doing throughout one of my classes, and also a music video for my friend, Billy. Speaking of! I will update about musique :D 

The Sound of Something Maybe Happening

 

 loopy times are coming!

Whooooooooo. I'm jumping on the sound wagon and got myself a loop pedal. Now it's gonna get really fun! I have, ehhhhh, 2 new songs to add the loop to, and 2 older songs I want to figure out the loops to. 

If you really want, I mean, really want, you can check out the experimental demo stuff I made with Billy. I'm only saying "really" because I'm completely in dislike of how my voice sounds. But, I'm started to develop it more, so I'm gonna be okay in da future. 

I'm so thankful for Billy though. He was kind of my mentor, in a sense that he made me pick up my instruments again and made me sing out loud in front of other humans.

Next week will be exciting! I'm going to the mountains to film some scenes for the music videos. Hopefully that will all work out and will have something to show for it.

Another Mark On Da Web

Oh, hello! So, this baby-born blog entry is personally dedicated to my friend Katie, because she spent 2 hours one day convincing me to get a dang blog. I mean blog.

Dis blog is going to be dedicated to nothing in particular, maybe random sketches, class and personal project progress, video things, and noises. And words? <<<these are words! = check. 

Would you like to read about me? Maybe not, so is probably more so for myself. I like to write stuff about myself down, like it's some kind of proof that I actually exist and have likes and dislikes. Which is probably is a good thing I made a blog. Remember Xanga? Me too! 

Also, I'm pretty sure I have some kind of writing/reading disability. No matter how many times I read through stuff, a grammar mistake magically appears. If there are Engrish in here, it's mostly on accident. Otherwise, it's on purpose.
